MENGDING WANCHUN
MENGDING WANCHUN
Mengding Wanchun is a traditional yellow tea hailing from Mengding Mountain in Ya'an, Sichuan Province, China, a region with nearly 2,000 years of tea production history. Harvested before Qingming (around early April), this exquisite tea uses native tea tree varieties from the heart of Mengding Mountain. Only the plump, newly sprouted single bud and leaf from the top of each tea shoot are picked. After a preliminary pan-frying and rolling process, the tea leaves are wrapped in local handmade paper to allow for yellowing fermentation, resulting in a unique and captivating flavor profile. The aroma is a delicate blend of floral, sugary, and honey notes, with a particularly striking white sugar fragrance not found in other teas. The taste is mellow, sweet, and smooth, with a rich and velvety texture.
